are changing.<\/p>\n<p>Google has released a new set of research, that is specifically designed to help marketers respond and react to the changes caused due to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>According to Google, over 4 billion people worldwide are staying indoors, which has resulted in a significant shift in online etiquettes.<\/p>\n<p>The research has highlighted five important trends that demonstrate how consumers\u2019 expectations, interests, and purchasing behaviour has changed over the last few months.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-541 aligncenter\" mentioned in Google\u2019s report:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Consumers are using multiple devices.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Increased dependence on Google<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0People are developing and nurturing relationships virtually<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Adjusting schedules to be at-home-first<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0People are taking more self-care more than ever before.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Based on Google\u2019s latest report, here\u2019s more insights into each of these trends:<\/p>\n<h2>1.\u00a0<strong>Using Multiple Electronic Devices<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As individuals use different devices to browse the internet more than ever before, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beingdigitalz.com\/content-marketing-agency-in-mumbai\/\"><strong>content<\/strong> <\/a>consumption is skyrocketing and is expected to increase significantly in the not so distant future.<\/p>\n<p>Staying at home has increased by 60% in the amount of content accessed and read.<\/p>\n<h2>2. <strong>Critical Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There has been an increase in searches for basic information and content to meet essential needs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Search enthusiasm for \u201cgroceries delivery\u201d and \u201conline grocery shopping\u201d grew by 23% year on year.<\/li>\n<li>The number of Americans watching online cooking shows and videos has increased at a rate of 31%, which is significantly higher than March 2019.<\/li>\n<li>Search enthusiasm for \u201ctelemedicine\u201d has increased by up to 150% week-over-week in the US.<\/li>\n<li>Searches for \u201conline pharmacy\u201d has increased all around by a staggering 100% year over year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. <strong>Connecting Virtually<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Since people are staying physically apart from each other, they\u2019re finding new links and supporting relationships virtually.<\/p>\n<p>Here are few examples of this, based on Google\u2019s data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As of April, Google Meet is now hosting 3 billion minutes of video meetings and is witnessing 3 million new users daily.<\/li>\n<li>In March 2020, half of US consumers used video calls to communicate with their family and friends.<\/li>\n<li>On YouTube channels, there has been a hike in \u201cwith me\u201d recordings, where people film themselves going about with their regular normal tasks like cooking, cleaning, shopping etc.<\/li>\n<li>Views of videos containing \u201cstudy with me\u201d in the title, are 54% higher contrasted with a similar period a year ago in the US.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>4. <strong>Scheduling Routines<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>With no information on when the Covid crisis will end, especially as a vaccine is at least a few months away, there is no clarity on how long the current situation will go on for, due to which people are adjusting their schedules to be internet-first.<\/p>\n<p>All individuals are adjusting their ordinary activities to satisfy the demands of isolation.<\/p>\n<p>Here are few examples of the same:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interest for search on \u201ctelecommuting\u201d has reached an all-time high on YouTube and Google in mid-March, and has been growing ever since.<\/li>\n<li>Also, there has been an increase in searches for \u201cstationary bicycles\u201d around the world, as well as for \u201cdumbbell set.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. <strong>More Self-Care<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As all the individual are facing the challenge to stay home, they are concentrating more on taking care of their own physical and mental needs.<\/p>\n<p>Some examples of this from Google\u2019s data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Views for meditation-related videos are up by a remarkable 51%, as compared to 2019 in the US alone.<\/li>\n<li>Searches for \u201cbored or exhausted\u201d have raised remarkably in March.<\/li>\n<li>Searches for \u201cgames,\u201d \u201criddles,\u201d and \u201ccoloring books\u201d expanded during in March.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img
